Exhibitions and loans of works
In the sphere of exhibitions and loans of works, and in compliance with international conservation standards, the department takes responsibility for the technical issues that arise from them in order to minimise the risk factors involved in moving works of art.
All loans and exhibitions are supervised by the restorers, from the start of the process right through to the end, involving a number of basic tasks such as ensuring that the works are suitably framed, undertaking journeys as couriers in order to oversee the works at all times and ensure that they are correctly mounted for exhibition, the drawing up of reports on the state of conservation of the pieces, supervising packaging and developing methods for safe storage and exhibition.
