The Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol, open to the public since 1996, allows visitors to discover a medieval building in which Salvador Dalí lent material form to an exuberant creative effort with his mind set on one person, Gala.

    From 15 March to 14 June and from 16 September to 1 November

    • open from 10:00 to 18

    • access until 19:15

     

    The exhibition rooms will start to close 15 minutes before the official closing time.

    • 1 January, 24 December and 25 December
    • Every Monday from 14 March to 14 June and from 16 September to 31 December, except for festivals and festivals' eves

    At the ticket office:

    • Individual : 7 €
    • Reduced and groups (+ 30 people): 5 €
    • Reduced admission charges for students, old age pensioners and unemployed people on production of the appropriate documentation. Also for groups of more than 30 people and owners of Carnet Jove (Euro <26).

    On-line:

    • Individual (unic price): 7 €
    • Groups (+ 30 people): 5 €


    No admission charge for children under 9 years of age, members of the association Friends of the Dalí Museums, of the Associació de Museòlegs de Catalunya, of the ICOM and journalists, only on production of the appropriate documentation.

    At least two days are needed to enjoy the visits to the three Dalí Museums properly. The distance between the three Dali Museums means that you have to allow for journeys of at least 40 kilometres if you want to go from Figueres to Portlligat (Cadaqués) and another 40 kilometres from Figueres to Púbol (near La Bisbal d'Empordà, heading in the Girona direction).

     

    Access requirements

    Visitors are free to walk around the Castle, although entry to certain areas depends on visitor numbers at the time, in accordance wtih the maximum permitted capacity.

     

    Reservations to visit the Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol only have to be made by groups larger than twenty people and/or if you would like a guided visit (groups or individuals).

     

    • No type of guided visit is allowed without the prior authorisation of the museum.
    • Visitors are requested to deposit all bags, umbrellas, luggage and other large objects in the consignment office.
    • Rucksacks, other shoulder bags and prams are not admitted.
    • No animals are allowed to enter, except for guide dogs for the blind 
    • It is forbidden to touch any of the works or settings exhibited.
    • Smoking, eating and drinking in the Theatre-Museum is forbidden.
    • The Management reserves the right to refuse admission.

     

     Accessibility

    The spaces and rooms at the Gala Dalí Castle are adapted for people with reduced mobility, except for Gala's bathroom, the exhibition "Les Gales de Gala" and the crypt.

     

    Acces for people in a wheelchair is via the gateway in the street behind the church (Fora Muralla Street, unnumbered). The Museum staff can be informed of the situation using the interphone.

     

    Policy for filming and taking pictures

    When taking pictures, you are not allowed to use the flash or any other photographic equipment. If this happens, the camera will be temporarily held back until the owner finishes the visit. Public communication of the images taken inside the Dalí museums needs an authorization and rights clearance.
