    Salvador Dalí. Family Album

The exhibition proposes  an overview of Dalí's life through  photographs of his family, of his stay in Madrid, of his friendship with Buñuel and Lorca, of the Surrealist group, of the high society in Paris and New York, of his relations with cinema actors and directors, patrons of the arts, dancers, choreographers and bullfighters. It reveals, in short, a private Dalí and a public Dalía Dalí who liked to be seen as a complete and multi-facetted genius.

A few  years ago, nearly 8,000 photos of Salvador Dalí and his wife Gala were discovered at  the Portlligat house. Once  catalogued at the Dali Study Centre, the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation and  "la Caixa" Foundation organized the exhibition Salvador Dalí. Family Album which contained 77 of the hitherto unpublished photos, in addition to six pictorial works (on Freud, Crevel, Buñuel, Lorca and Puig Pujades), books, letters and manuscripts.
