A very special day at the Món Sant Benet complex, which includes three different zones:
A Benedictine monastery dating from 1000 years ago
A summer house belonging to the painter Ramon Casas
The Alícia Foundation, created by Ferran Adrià for the purposes of scientific and gastronomic research.
We will go on a guided visit of all three zones, and will be enjoying a demonstration workshop at the Alícia Foundation.

As it does each year, the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation invites the Friends of the Dalí Museums to its annual concert. This year, the pianists Katia and Marielle Labèque have been invited to perform a four-hands concert.

Place: Figueres Bus Station

Visit to the fine exhibition Sorolla. Vision of Spain at the MNAC. Resulting from a commission from the Hispanic Society of America, this comprises 14 large panels presenting a rural and traditional Spain, very rich in contrasts and colours.
In the evening, a performance of the work The inspector by Nikolai Gogol at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.

Place: Dome of Teatre- Museu Dalí

 On the occasion of the temporary presence in the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres of the master work The Persistence of Memory, the association of Friends of the Dalí Museums arranged a lecture on that painting by the art historian and coordinator of the Centre for Dalinian Studies, Anna Otero.

Place: Under the dome of the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres

Availing ourselves of the provisional presence of the painting Metamorphosis of Narcissus in the Dalí Theatre-Museum, a lecture was scheduled, given by Ms Rosa Maria Maurell, coordinator of the Centre for Dalinian Studies, concerning this emblematic painting.
Our desire to make Dalí's work better known led us to informing the local press about this event, so that Figueres people interested in this subject could enjoy it too.

A free tour of the exhibition Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) – Seduction, Modernity and Utopia followed by a guided tour of the Fran Daurel Foundation in Poble Espanyol, Barcelona. Lunch was at La Font de Prades, a restaurant up in the Poble Espanyol complex.

On the occasion of the temporary exhibition set up in Púbol Castle and devoted to Salvador Dalí's relations with the world of magazines, Ms Rosa Maria Maurell, coordinator of the Centre for Dalinian Studies gave a lecture on that subject.
This year, the temporary exhibition in Púbol Castle presented a less well-known facet of Salvador Dalí: his collaboration with the world of magazines and the written press. Apart from contributing articles, Dalí also produced front covers, advertisements and illustrations for articles by himself and by other authors.

A guided visit to the two great bowls that are in the very top of Paní Mountain and can be seen from whatever point of Empordà land. These bowls contain a militar installation that whatches over the sky.
