News. Transports Padrosa joins Dalí Year 2004 as a collaborating company

10 June 2003

The company transported a 38-metre long, Dalí-inspired sculpture from Bordeaux.
Figueres, on 10th June, 2003, at a press conference, Transports Padrosa was presented as a collaborating enterprise that had joined Dalí Year 2004.
The Figueres transport company began its collaboration by transporting the 38-metre Grande Cuillère from Bordeaux to Figueres. The sculpture formed part of a set prop made by Compagnie d’Aquitaine from a sketch by Salvador Dalí, on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition on the artist held at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris in 1979-80. It had been stored since then in the municipal warehouses in Bordeaux, until the art centre donated it to the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation. The public will be able to see it once restoration work has been completed.

Transports Padrosa’s collaboration with the centenary will be taking tangible form by use of its fleet of international lorries for advertising Dalí year, as well as in the provision of materials and equipment transport services related with organisation of the centenary commemoration events.
