Observations
On the reverse of this painting there is an ink inscription on an adhesive tape that states: "Landscape with a shoe. Salv..." written by another hand. Thanks to this inscription, it can be assumed that this work was exhibited for the first time at the exhibition "Newer super-realism" held at the Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford (Connecticut) in November 1931, with the title "Paysage avec chaussure".
