Observations

As Dalí used to explain to Antoni Pitxot, this is a vision of the image the artist had of the painting "Cala Jugadora" by Ramon Pichot Gironès. The painting has a collage of mica and a romantic, imaginary cypress tree in the centre. When he would wake up, an adolescent Dalí would see the sunshine reflected in the mica fragments of the painting. According to the artist, these sparkles caused a phantasmagorical effect on him.
