Observations

Dali made this work, whose location is unknown, in exchange for the oil painting "Nymphs and Satyr" by William Adolphe Bouguereau, which hung in the Barberry Room of the Berkshire Hotel in New York. According to the artist, this was his 'impression' of Bouguereau's picture, which duly became part of his private collection.
