Hon. Pasqual Maragall, President of the Government, in recognition of her role as a cultural promoter, \u201cfor her outstanding work as Director of the Centre for Dalinian Studies of the Gala-Salvador Dal\u00ed Foundation, which promotes worldwide knowledge of the figure and oeuvre of the great Catalan and universal artist. The award is also for her effective contribution as curator of Dal\u00ed Year 2004 to the success of an international event that served as a point of reference within its sphere\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In this year\u2019s edition, the medal was also awarded to other personalities, such as professor F\u00e0tima Bosch i Tubert (like Montse Aguer, also from Figueres), the politician and historian Francesc Ferrer i Giron\u00e8s, the painter \u00c0ngels Santos Torroella, the photographer Pilar Aymerich, the professor and former Director-General of UNESCO, Frederic Mayor Zaragoza, the writer Rosa Reg\u00e0s i Pag\u00e8s and the fashion designer Manuel Pertegaz.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Montse Aguer i Teixidor received tonight at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) the Government of Catalonia\u2019s highest distinction, the Sant George Cross, which was presented by the Rt.
