All three are complex spaces with unique and highly particular characteristics due to both the architecture itself and the variety and wealth of artistic heritage contained and exhibited in them. This challenge is compounded by the sheer number and diversity of visitors they welcome each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dal\u00ed Museums are home to the largest collection of Salvador Dal\u00ed\u2019s work. This unique collection comprises thousands of objects from all the artist\u2019s periods and more than four thousand works made using a wide variety of techniques, materials and media, including paintings, sculptures, prints, installations, jewellery, holograms, photographs, stereoscopic works, etc. Many of these works are on display in the Dal\u00ed Theatre-Museum\u2019s permanent collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the art collection, the Gala-Salvador Dal\u00ed Foundation maintains the most extensive collection of books and other documents on Dal\u00ed\u2019s work. This collection, which is enriched each year with new acquisitions, includes books from Dal\u00ed and Gala\u2019s private library, as well as manuscripts, letters and other documents, all of which are essential for advancing research on the artist.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title\">Do I need to buy separate tickets to visit the three Museums?<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Yes, each Museum has its own entry conditions and requires a separate admission ticket.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>What role does the Gala-Salvador Dal\u00ed Foundation play?<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>The Gala-Salvador Dal\u00ed Foundation manages and disseminates Salvador Dal\u00ed\u2019s legacy at its headquarters in the Galatea Tower and in the three museums in Figueres, P\u00fabol and Portlligat. It generally takes between one and a half and two hours to see the whole museum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Salvador Dal\u00ed House-Museum: The visit is divided into a thirty-minute guided tour and a self-guided portion. The distance between them means you need to factor in at least one 40 km trip to get from Figueres to Portlligat (Cadaqu\u00e9s) and another 40 km trip to get from Figueres to P\u00fabol (near La Bisbal d\u2019Empord\u00e0, heading towards Girona).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title\">Are the Dal\u00ed Museums easily accessible by public transport?<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>The Dal\u00ed Theatre-Museum, located in the city of Figueres, is fully accessible by public transport and has various rail (regional and high-speed trains) and intercity and long-distance coach connections. Whilst there is a ticket desk at the main entrance to the Dal\u00ed Theatre-Museum, availability is subject to the museum\u2019s capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>To visit the Dal\u00ed House-Museum in Portlligat, you must book the date and time of the visit in advance. Visits to the Dal\u00ed House-Museum are conducted in limited groups, which enter every 10 minutes from the stated opening time. All types of visitors must have a ticket.<br>Tickets must be retrieved half an hour before the time of entry on the day of the visit. Failure to pick up the ticket half an hour in advance will entail cancellation of the purchase and loss of the tickets without the right to a refund. Subsequent admission to the museum will be subject to availability at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For visits to the Gala Dal\u00ed Castle in P\u00fabol, it is always advisable to book your tickets in advance, especially if you would like to take a guided tour (group or individual). Although visitors can explore the museum at their leisure, access to certain areas is subject to capacity and the activities taking place at any given time.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title\"><em>\u00a0<\/em>Can I buy tickets online?<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Online ticket purchase is recommended for all the Dal\u00ed Museums. However, if you need to change the date of your visit, contact the corresponding museum. Guides, professionals, and companions seeking to provide guided tours inside the Museums must request prior authorization from the admissions staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Audio guides are not necessary, but are recommended.
