Careful study of the specific by Salvador Dalí's production of sculpture (works, contracts, documentation, etc), of the relevant legislation and of the artistic standards relating to edition of sculpture, such as those published by the College Art Association of New York  and Les Fondeurs de France , has provided a fuller understanding of the artist's production.
Salvador Dalí's sculpture and three-dimensional objects are classified into three major sections, in accordance with the principles detailed below, as either original works, multiple works or reproductions. Thus, the classification proposed by the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí is as follows:
