Temporary exhibition in Púbol Castle

Gala's Castle in Púbol is open again for the season. This year's temporary exhibition is devoted to the third dimension. Its title is 3D. Dalí and holography: virtual reality and the illusion of reality, it shows two chrono-holograms Alice Cooper's Brain and Dali painting Gala, as well as a film of Dalí creating this second hologram. This exhibition is on show until next 4 November.
Ferran Mascarell, Culture Minister of the Catalan Government, inaugurated this year’s exhibition. The ceremony was attended on behalf of the Dalí Foundation by its Chairman Ramon Boixadós, Antoni Pitxot, Director of the Dalí Theatre-Museum, and Montse Aguer, Director of the Centre for Dalinian Studies.

On 19 march the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation inaugurated Dalí by Halsman, this year’s temporary exhibition at the Castell Gala Dalí in Púbol.
The opening ceremony was presented by Mr. Joan Pluma, General Director of Cultural Heritage of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Ramon Boixadós, Chairman of the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí,Antoni Pitxot,Director of the Dalí Theatre-Museum and Vice-Chairman of the Foundation, and Montse Aguer, Director of the Centre for Dalinian Studies. Philippe Halsman’s heirs, Irene Halsman and Steve Bello, also attended the opening.

Temporary exhibition in Púbol Castle

The Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí inaugurated at the Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol this year’s temporary exhibition, under the title Les Chants de Maldoror. The exhibition can be seen from 13th March, the day the Castle re-opened to the public, to remain open now for the rest of the year, until 31 December 2010.
The inauguration ceremony was conducted by the Rt. Hon. Joaquim Nadal, Minister for Territorial Policy and Public Works of the Government of Catalonia (the Generalitat), and on behalf of the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí, by Ramon Boixadós, Chairman, Montse Aguer, Director of the Centre for Dalinian Studies, and Juliette Murphy, graphic works specialist and curator of this exhibition.

Temporary exhibition in Púbol Castle

This year's exhibition at Gala Dalí's Castle in Púbol is entitled Alchimie des philosophes.
First exhibition of graphic work
This is the first time that the Dalí Foundation has organised an exhibition devoted to the artist’s graphic work. The exhibition contains fifteen pieces: the ten prints making up the Alchimie des philosophes (1976) series, two original plates engraved by Salvador Dalí, and the artist’s book of the same title and comprising two volumes with the engravings inside, as well as the drypoint tools that the artist used.
