To reproduce Salvador Dalí’s work, his name, and/or the artist’s image on any medium or medium, it is essential to have the authorization of the Foundation, the institution that manages the artist’s industrial and intellectual property, as well as all his rights, including his image rights.
Reproduction of Salvador Dalí’s work
Requests for reproductions of the artist’s works should be addressed to VEGAP, the collecting society and member of the international CISAC network, which handles these procedures on behalf of the Foundation.
Reproduction of the image of Gala and Salvador Dalí
Requests for reproductions of the image and/or portrait of Salvador Dalí and his wife Gala should be addressed directly to the Foundation at:
rights@fundaciodali.org
Two steps are always required:
- Processing of the rights of the photographer who created the image
- Processing of the image rights of Salvador Dalí and Gala, managed directly by the Foundation.
The Foundation manages the rights of some photographers and can also assist applicants by providing contact information for many photographers who have photographed the artist.
Once the request has been reviewed and approved, the corresponding citations will be provided. Free supporting copies must also be sent to the Foundation’s Rights Department (two physical copies and/or the digital link).
Image bank
High-definition digital images (300 dpi) of works from the Foundation’s image bank, the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, and the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA, can be provided.
Digital images from the Foundation’s photographic archive can also be provided.
