Today saw the presentation at the Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol of a special edition of the programme La Noche Temática, dedicated to Salvador Dalí and entitled Divine Dalí. The Genius’s 100th Birthday, to be broadcast simultaneously by Spain’s TVE and the Franco-German ARTE channel on 8 May.
The press conference was addressed by Joan Manuel Sevillano, the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation Managing Director, Pedro Erquicia, Director of TVE-Arte Current Affairs and Investigative Programming, Hans Robert Eisenhauer, Assistant Director of Théma, from the Franco German channel Arte, Ana Martínez, author of the 74-minute documentary Dalí, the Persistence of Memory, and Pablo Usón, Director of the Alea TV production company, which worked for TVE on the documentary The True Story of the False Dalís. Pedro Erquicia stressed the hard work and dedication that went into this documentary, made in close collaboration with the Dalí Foundation.
The broadcast also includes Un chien andalou, the famous short made by Luís Buñuel and Salvador Dalí.
