Preservation - Preventive conservation

Climate-control display case improvements

One of the most demanding tasks in the sphere of preventive conservation is the constant quest for new solutions and technologies to ensure that the works travel in the best possible conditions of conservation when they are requested on loan for exhibition at other museums. In order to minimise climatic fluctuations in relative humidity during transport, climate-control display cases are installed when necessary, with passive control technology containing dataloggers that indicate the temperature and relative humidity of the works.
