Conservation and restoration

The Conservation and Restoration Department plays a fundamental role in achieving one of the Foundation's main objectives: the conservation of Salvador Dalí's work in the best possible condition for the benefit of future generations.

The Department centres its activity on the preventive conservation and restoration of the works in the collection, and through exhaustive documentation and study of the techniques and materials used by the artist, in order to gain a deeper understanding of Dalí's oeuvre and the ageing processes of his works. To achieve these objectives, the Department works in collaboration with other areas of the Foundation, coordinating interdisciplinary teams of specialists.
