The Programme
In its commitment to attracting, selecting and training the most suitable talent for the pursuit of its work, the FGSD seeks to strengthen its identity as a leading educational centre in the field of protection, conservation and restoration of modern and contemporary artworks. In accordance with these aims and objectives, the institution hosts training for young professionals and specialists, enabling them to develop their technical skills through work on the FGSD’s own artworks.
The objectives of this call for applications are to award two FGSD Training Fellowships to individuals interested in undertaking practical training in areas within the FGSD’s remit:
- One fellowship related to the field of preventive conservation and restoration of sculptures and art installations at the Teatre-Museu Dalí (Dalí Theatre-Museum, TMD), including, among other things:
- Preventive conservation and restoration projects.
- The study and cataloguing of materials and techniques used in serial sculptures.
- One fellowship related to the study, cataloguing, documentation and conceptual analysis of graphic works associated with the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí collection. The fellowship will allow for training in the following areas:
- The study and documentation of graphic works, prints and multiple editions.
- Conceptual, iconographic and contextual analysis of the works.
- Review and systematisation of information relating to techniques, editions, numbering, inscriptions, provenance and associated bibliography.
- Assistance with cataloguing tasks and updating documentary records.
- Collaboration in the preparation of technical, documentary or educational content related to graphic works.
The fellowships will last for six consecutive months, with the possibility of joining the team upon completion, depending on performance and recruitment needs.
